Tweed jacket

Happy Presidents’ day guys! I hope you are enjoying the holidays. When you hear tweed what comes to your mind? As for me, the first image that comes to mind is a college professor. Haha, do you blame me? professors have been stereotypically linked to the tweed jacket with patches at the elbow. I guess because the tweed jacket is a rough woolen fabric usually in weave so it keeps one warm and could survive years of active use.

Tweed is an export of the Irish and British. It was worn around the country-side and assumed international prominence in the 20th century. If you are a lover of classic films you’ll notice them on French actors between the 1950’s and 1960’s.

Fastforward to this day, the tweed now vary in style and design making you look more fashionable and vastly becoming an IT girl staple. Today I’ve decided to style this tweed jacket casually with denim jean and a fanny pack.
